National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate)
About NEET UG
NEET UG is the single-window entrance exam for admission to undergraduate medical and dental programs across India, including MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH courses. Conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the exam tests competency across Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany & Zoology).
Starting from the 2027 exam cycle, NEET UG is transitioning from the traditional pen-and-paper OMR format to an online Computer-Based Test (CBT) to upgrade infrastructure security and evaluation integrity.
The test consists of 200 questions across two sections per subject: Section A (35 mandatory questions) and Section B (15 questions with an option to attempt any 10), making a total of 180 questions to be answered for 720 marks.
